The perfect setting

The perfect setting for my daughter who loved the great outdoors & natural settings.

Everything was perfect. Sally was very welcoming to everyone. She explained things very well & made us all feel at ease. Everything was prepared and ready for us, even some dried petals should we want to use them. I have no complaints whatsoever. I thank Sally for helping us to have exactly what we wanted for the day.

Well kept and peaceful

We chose the burial ground because we wanted somewhere easy to visit and natural. The process was easy and achievable when arranging everything. The meadow is well kept and peaceful.

A pleasant, serene, reassuringly natural rest place

We had passed the burial ground frequently and discussed the idea of using it. A family visit confirmed that it was right. The local custodian, Sally Cook, was very friendly and helpful before and on the day of the burial. On the day, we had a non-religious ceremony at a nearby venue, then a graveside ceremony with a celebrant and some music. The family was very pleased with every aspect of the process.

A very beautiful and peaceful place

Helen loved nature but didn’t like graveyards or cremation, we had intended to use the Crematorium until about a month before Helen died, but when we saw the burial ground on the way back from RUH and we changed our wills so Helen could be buried in the meadow instead. It is a very beautiful and natural way to honour the deceased.

Beautiful and peaceful

The burial meadow is at the head of valley where we lived, and we still see it in the distance each time we take the dog for a walk and often drive past. Thanks so much for all your kindness, especially Sally and Cookie on the day.

Easy to access in a beautiful location

My mother chose Bath as her final resting place. We kept the funeral simple and personal – keeping it simple made it a little easier to cope. It is a comfort to know that a loved one is truly at rest and at peace in Midford.

A beautiful hillside, a place of peace

My husband had always wanted a “green” burial, he felt he could still give something back. This was the first one we were told about. Please think about the possibility of a natural burial ground, it cannot be compared to the coldness of a graveyard. On the day, we had close family around the burial time, followed by a service for everyone of praise and thanksgiving in our church.

A pleasant and natural site, with an amazing view of the Somerset countryside

Would thoroughly recommend the site and the service. Bring wellies!

You all helped to make it a pleasant, happy occasion.

Thank you.

Beautiful, peaceful, natural

My mum walked her dogs and rode her horses around this area. It was also her route to work for many years. It’s a beautiful resting place and there’s space to be on your own in your own thoughts.

Peaceful, uplifting somehow. Loved the skylarks singing.

We thought mum would have liked it – it suited her personality and interests. It was a good experience throughout – made very easy for us by everyone involved.

Beautiful, restful, gentle, accessible, unspoilt

We could not have envisaged a better day for Oli. Thank you. Everything was done with dignity, efficiently and with thought and consideration. The Blackcap gave a wonderful eulogy. He loved the countryside so he has found a resting place that he would have loved. Thank you again for making such a wonderful space available.
