What is a natural burial?

Natural burial, sometimes known as green burial, is a gentle, eco-friendly way of returning to the earth. It avoids embalming, chemical treatments, metal or veneered coffins, and concrete vaults.
Instead, it honours life and the landscape, using biodegradable materials and encouraging regeneration of native habitats, supporting local biodiversity in a low-impact, sustainable way.
