Opening soon...

Soon, we will be opening a new natural burial ground which will occupy part of the expansive wildflower meadow at Thoulstone Park. If you'd like to be kept updated about the opening and the latest news, please join our mailing list and we will keep you informed.

The land

At Thoulstone Park, nature leads the way. Here, burials take place within a pastoral parkland landscape, grazed by sheep. There are no rigid lines, no uniform rows—only the quiet rhythm of the seasons and the life they bring. This approach ensures that the burial ground remains a haven for biodiversity while providing a meaningful and sustainable resting place.

This landscape, with the lake at its focal point, has been lovingly restored and now flourishes with wildflowers, native woodland trees, and diverse habitats, providing sanctuary to both people and wildlife. A place of renewal, memory, and gentle return to the earth.

Space to reflect and remember

The site features scenic walking trails, open spaces, and quiet spots for reflection. Whether you prefer a gentle stroll through the meadows or a moment of stillness beneath the trees, the landscape invites you to find solace in nature – to reflect, to remember, and to be at peace.

Questions

Do we need to use a funeral director?

A spacious car park provides easy access, while the on-site café, with its large side room overlooking the meadow, offers a comfortable space to gather after a ceremony or simply pause for reflection. The site is accessible, with tracks and pathways suitable for wheelchairs and dedicated parking for those with limited mobility.

A raised, level clearing surrounded by trees provides a perfect space for an outdoor gathering, with scenic views across the burial ground and meadow towards the lake.
