Great Big Green Week Event
Discover the wonders of nature at the ‘Leaving a Lighter Footprint Nature Hunt’ at Pembrokeshire Natural Burial Ground.
Join us at Pembrokeshire natural burial ground on 17th June to discover the wonders of nature. Enjoy a walk around the meadow and find out some really interesting facts about how we can leave a lighter footprint.
We will have paper nature hunts on the day or you can download a digital version to follow on your phone. It’s a chance to get back to nature, explore wildlife and learn how we can leave a lighter footprint and respect the natural world around us in life and death.
At the end of the nature hunt, there will be something special for every nature lover to take away.

If you're joining us on the day for the nature hunt or just want to discover the different flora and fauna you might see at the burial ground, download the pdf below.
After exploring the meadow, join us in the gazebo for refreshments and sharing discoveries. Learn about wildflowers, bird’s nests, and let children create their own wildflower meadow.
Tractor lovers, Dan from D Hancock Contracting will showcase Massey Ferguson Tractor and Jones Bailer.
Jesse, our nature lover, will guide building a bug hotel and ways to support mini beasts. Feel free to bring additions like sea shells, sticks, pet fur, bricks, or rocks. If you have anything you feel would be a good addition to the bug hotel please bring it along. We have had from sea shells and sticks and pet fur to interesting bricks or rocks in the past.
During the nature hunt, you will find information sheets, photos, and facts about nature and leaving a lighter footprint. Also, get info packs on the natural burial meadow.
Pets are welcome! Bring your furry family members, and we’ll provide water and dog treats.
We’re excited to see you! Contact Sarah at 07780 764 715 if you have any event questions.
