Our natural burial grounds are open for funerals, burials, commemorative events & visitors.

Please do not visit the natural burial ground if you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or self-isolating. Those self-isolating, experiencing symptoms Covid 19 or living with someone experiencing symptoms should not attend funerals until safe to do so.

If you are attending a funeral your details may be requested for test and trace. We have added our details to the test and trace app and you can find the NHS QR Codes for our natural burial grounds here.

England

  • Attendance at funerals is by invitation. Please contact our custodians directly for further guidance on funeral attendance – Bath / Aylesbury / Henley-On-Thames
  • Government guidelines recommend that funerals are limited to close family and friends to reduce the risk of the spread of Covid 19.
  • Social distancing of 2m should be maintained between households or support bubbles.​​
  • Attendance at commemorative events is maximum 30 people as per government guidelines.
  • ​Marquees are permitted as long as current guidelines are followed.

Wales

  • Attendance at funerals and commemorative events is by invitation. Please contact our custodians directly for guidance on funeral numbers – Cardiff & The Vale / Pembrokeshire / Usk Castle Chase
  • A distance of 2m should be kept between households or support bubbles.
  • Face coverings are required for the duration of the funeral ceremony, however, can be removed before and after the ceremony.
  • Shelters and marquees can be used as long as current guidelines are followed.

Scotland

  • Up to 50 people can attend a funeral service as per level 2 guidelines. Attendance for other levels can be found here
  • Attendance at funerals and commemorative events is by invitation.
  • All attendees should maintain at least 2 metres distance from each other at all times (unless they are from the same household, or are a carer and the person assisted by the carer). References to a household include an extended household
  • Number of attendees do not include the funeral director, venue staff or celebrant but do include children of all ages and any person hired by the family. A bagpiper is not included in the maximum number attending if they are only there for that purpose.
  • Face coverings are not required at outdoor funeral services.
