An update on our burial grounds in light of current circumstances and government guidelines, but we are still here to help... In line with government guidelines, the natural burials at Aylesbury, Henley-on-Thames, Bath, Cothiemuir, Delliefure and Hundy Mundy are open for funerals and burials only.
While we have had to close these to visitors until government restrictions are lifted we will be watching over the burial grounds and will be updating photo's as and when we can on our facebook pages so you can still enjoy the burial ground from afar. Our other burial grounds are open to all follow slightly different guidelines, but we would like to urge that you follow all government guidelines this time to ensure that you stay safe and well. While funerals are limited to immediate family only, we would like to ask that those who are high risk stay at home and stay safe. For those families who cannot have the funeral they want now please know that we can arrange memorial services in the future for family and friends to attend when it is safe. We can mark graves so you can have a graveside gathering, and you can still have a celebration, memorial or funeral service at a later date with a celebrant or officiant of your choosing. This will not stop you having a funeral, celebration or memorial, we just have to postpone these for moment and they will be just as meaningful. With Corona-virus being forecast to spread rapidly we want to do all that we can to continue to support the communities and families we serve. To do this we must take steps to protect the well-being of people involved in funerals at our burial grounds. You can keep to keep up to date with our Coronavirus Precautions here and we will be updating these when changes occur. We will gladly do our best to answer any questions you might have by telephone, but regrettably, we can no longer accept visitors to the office. We would like to say stay safe, we hope anyone who has been affected makes a speedy recovery and would like to thank all the people who are working to help families and provide funeral services.
